  • Just think the hope that is given through mentorship - clients see some with their condition having success it gives hope. Plus they have a special understanding and can easily relate because they have already walked a mile in their moccasins.
  • * This is not under primary care control.
  • What about rehabilitation related to conditions other then SMI? For example depression? Return to work and mental health?
  • Peer support colleagues can be recruited, trained, hired and employed as part of the primary care team and/or through a volunteer co-ordination program.
