Treatment is Non-Coercive Overall Rank: 151
Rate of persons served who report experiencing treatment as “non-coercive”.
Patient-centeredness refers to establishing a partnership among practitioners, patients and their families (when appropriate) to ensure that decisions respect patients’ wants, needs and preferences. Summarized CommentsAdd Comment
  • * This is too narrow and subjective.
  • * I would expect this indicator to be one of a more comprehensive set of consumer evaluation factors.
  • * I don't believe this measure captures the essence of empowerment that a patient finds in a healthy providers-client relationship. Perhaps using positive values like "empowerment", "freedom of decision making", "option to refuse treatment" are more descr
  • * That seems to be a very low standard - why not measure percent or extent to which persons rate services as respectful?
